What Are you up to this weekend?

This weekend I have nothing big planned besides helping a friend in his political campaign, doing some schoolwork that I’ve been avoiding all week, and getting some fun reading time.
 Recently, I tried to re-read Michael Pollan’s The Omnivore's Dilemma for the second time, but I could not bring myself to actually finish the book. This is my second time attempting to read the book, but finding myself completely bored and uninterested. So I’ve decided to go with another book that I’ve been meaning to read for while now; Samuel Huntington “The Clash of Civilizations.” Even though the reading is somewhat heavy and some may even consider boring, I have to say I am enjoying, perhaps it’s my boring personality that’s enjoying it. The author provides an interest perspective into Post- Cold War world, and what we could expect in the future in regards to war; strongly recommend reading it.
Apart from reading and canvassing, I’ll be seeing an old friend, which I haven’t seen in a while, so I look forward to that. Recently, I’ve decided to go back to sketching again, which is something that I am not good at, but I enjoy doing it, so I’ll be sketching a lot over the weekend. Lastly, I hope to end my weekend with a hot yoga class with one of my favorite teacher, and meditating time.

Day 3: Tofu Burrito

                  Hola everyone, its day three and I am still thriving on tofu!!! continuing on the tofu marathon today we are going south and taking a classic mexican recipe and making it into a vegan's dream meal. This recipe is really simple and as always its vegan and vegetarian friendly, but above all i think whether you are a vegan or not you will enjoy this dish. Ingredients  -Firm tofu - tomato -half oragane -2 tbsp cumin -1 tbsp black pepper -1 salt -2 tbsp olive oil -3 tbsp Mexican chilli powder Salsa : -1 Tomato (remove seeds) -1 jalapeño -3 green onions -1 tbsp lime juice -1 tbsp olive oil -1 tbsp black pepper -1 tbsp salt Steps:  1. In large cooking pan, pour little of olive oil, let it heat a little and add tomato. Saute chopped tomato spice with cumin, chilli powder, black pepper and salt. Rolled Oat with Almond Butter

As a lot of you know based on my previous blog post when it comes to breakfast I tend to be the most boring person ever. When I find something I like I stick with it and try as much as possible not to change it. As a result of this mundane outlook my breakfast has been the same for the last two to threes years with little departure every now and then Given my love and strong obsession with oatmeal as a fuel to start the day I found a way to make it less dull and tasteless by adding my favorite fruits. This has resulted in the most amazing breakfast. I read somewhere that one way to make yourself wake up early was to have to plan an awesome breakfast that you could have the next morning. This allows you to have something to look forward to the next day but also acts a good motivation to get up either 5am or 6 am.
